Sitting here watching the news, I am mesmerized by the beauty of Niagara Falls completely frozen. I can’t help but wonder what is happening beneath that ice. More importantly, what happens when it finally thaws? Will the water be cleaner, clearer, or crisper? I’ve never known God to put something to sleep and not increase its value when it is awakened. In the same way, we survive harsh “winter seasons” when God stills and quietens our lives too. All the while, we think we are unnoticed, set aside, or even left out. However, it is in THIS season that God is actually transforming us to increase our value. Rest, remain faithful, and know that the beauty of spring is coming!
